On March 15th, 2022 HiSpec Wheel and Tire joined the Dexter family. Dexter, headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, employs over 3,800 people in the U.S. and Canada and operates 18 manufacturing facilities and over 50 company-owned distribution locations. Founded in 1960, Dexter has built a reputation as a trusted brand serving utility trailer, recreational vehicle, marine, heavy-duty, agricultural, specialty equipment manufacturers and distribution partners.
HiSpec Wheel and Tire is a leading engineering, manufacturer, distributor and assembler of wheels, tires and accessories for the RV and cargo industries in North America. Established in 1995, we started making aluminum wheels specifically designed RV and specialty trailer markets because no one else was doing it. Since then, our reputation for making the safest, most innovative wheels in the industry has established HiSpec as the standard to which other wheel makers aspire.
In 2012, HiSpec’s business model evolved into a supplier of wheel and tire assemblies to the RV and Cargo industries. Operating out of our 100,000 manufacturing facility in Mishawaka, Indiana, HiSpec has provided the highest customer service and satisfaction along with exceptional product development which quickly established HiSpec as the premier supplier of wheel and tire assemblies to the industry.
In 2015, HiSpec designed, engineered and manufactured a “special edition” aluminum Mercedes Sprinter Dual wheel for the motorized RV OEM market. As demand for additional programs expanded, HiSpec developed aluminum wheel programs for the Ford 350/450, Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter 2500, Mercedes Sprinter 3500 and Ram ProMaster.
In 2018, HiSpec engineered and developed The HiSpec Oracle ST and Sonoran ST tires. Engineered for Optimized Tire Performance, the Oracle ST and Sonoran ST provide the perfect balance of strength, endurance and high speed performance. These tires continued the long tradition of unsurpassed quality, durability and safety expected from HiSpec Wheel and Tire and further enhances our position as the premier supplier of wheel and tire assemblies to the RV and cargo industries.

With over 50 years of Detroit engineering experience, The Hispec team brings a depth and expertise that is unmatched in the specialty trailer industry. OEM engineering practices and standards imported from Detroit, advanced 3-D CAD for detailed engineering, and finite Element Analysis (FEA) are utilized to produce a superior product.
Complete customs and logistics management are managed in house to create a steady supply chain for just-in time deliveries.
